In the journey of a child's initial growth, the school and the family are like indispensable 'wings.' The Parent Committee/Catering Committee is the core link that connects these two wings. It is not just a simple 'communication group,' but rather a bridge organization led by the school and voluntarily participated in by parents. It is also an important force in the collaborative education between home and school. Ultimately, it forms a warm and determined force that safeguards the healthy and happy growth of the children.
On October 15th, the Autumn Parent Committee and Catering Committee Meeting of Xiyuan Campus was held as scheduled within the campus. Coco, the head of the kindergarten, Eric, the head of the kindergarten, the head of the administrative team, and members of the Parent Committee and Catering Committee from seven classes gathered together. At the beginning of the meeting, Coco elaborated on the purpose of establishing the Parent Committee and Catering Committee, and explained the roles and responsibilities of these committees. She also provided an overview of the various improvements made to Xiyuan Campus this semester and the main tasks for the current term.

Experiencing natural phonics, diving deep into the classroom:
Principal Eric provides an in-depth interpretation of the English curriculum framework, which is based on children's interests and observations by teachers. He also showcases an immersive English teaching session. Eric leads parents and 'older friends' in simulating a daily English Circle, using 'coherent themes' as a medium, to demonstrate the progression of natural phonics lessons from PN grade to K3 grade. Following the principle of frequent word usage, the lessons are gradually introduced, allowing parents to experience a mini-lesson in natural phonics suitable for all age groups. 'Older friends' reflect on their own childhood classroom experiences, making the session both entertaining and enlightening.
2. On-site tour of the kitchen, 'eating' with every moment:
The kindergarten always prioritizes food safety. From the traceability of ingredients, to the hygiene standards of meal preparation, to the scientific balance of nutrition, every aspect is subject to strict management systems. The logistics director led the parents of the catering committee on a detailed tour of the kitchen and shared in detail the entire process of food management, covering aspects such as ingredient procurement, preparation process, utensil disinfection, and the system of preset meal plans. This transparent approach allowed the parents of the catering committee to gain a comprehensive understanding of the various facets of the kindergarten's food management.
Sharing and exchange promote growth, with schools and families working together to shape the future. The best form of education is one where home and school resonate in harmony. Coco, the head of the nursery, provided a detailed explanation of this term's school-level activities, special events, and environmental upgrades. The parents' committee members highly praised the continuous improvement and upgrading of educational teaching and logistics management in the nursery, and also offered constructive suggestions. They were confident that, within the atmosphere of joint home and school education, every child would grow up healthily and happily.
During lunch time, parents from the Home Committee were invited to enter the classroom to enjoy the daily lunch with their children. This allowed everyone to personally experience the quality of the meals served in the kindergarten and gain insight into the details and care that go into the management of meals. After lunch, the parents carefully filled out feedback forms, thoughtfully writing down their suggestions and feelings about the children's meals. The head of the logistics department also interacted with the Home Committee in person to discuss the management of meals in the kindergarten.
