The spring breeze sweeps through every corner of Crown Dream, and the warm light illuminates a new journey of home-kindergarten collaboration. On the evenings of March 25th and 26th, we gathered here. This time, parents were not just listeners, but participants and exchangers—arriving with their own treasures and leaving with new gains.
This time, the class meeting was no longer 'teachers talk, parents listen,' but rather 'we share together, we exchange together.' Each grade level carefully designed immersive experience sessions, allowing parents to step into their children's world and feel the moments of growth, while also letting the wisdom of parenting—hidden in daily life—shine brightly through exchange.
The teachers, as if telling a warm story, recounted the Little Gumis' progress from their very first day at kindergarten to the present. Parents, too, brought out their own 'treasures'—a photo of their child putting on shoes for the first time, a short video of them humming an English song at home, a heartfelt journey from anxiety to reassurance… It turns out that love is not a one-way giving, but a mutual witnessing and exchanging. Through exchange, love becomes more tangible and warm.
At this crucial bridging stage, teachers and parents sat together in a circle—not in a 'teaching and learning' dynamic, but in one of 'exchange and collision.' During the K2 parent-teacher meeting, parents put their creativity to work and designed unique Free-flow activities for their children. Watching these big friends generously share their brilliant ideas, we couldn't help but look forward to the look of surprise on the Little Gumis' faces when they returned to the classroom the next day~
With scientific principles as the vessel, teachers shared how to cultivate children's learning qualities and daily habits in everyday life—making the transition from kindergarten to primary school a smooth and beautiful journey. Parents, in turn, exchanged their own 'treasures for the transition': a note written in pinyin, a little alarm clock used to teach their child about time, a mindset that shifted from anxiety to calm. Through exchange, the path to setting sail became clearer and more steadfast.
Each class is a warm little family. This time, teachers not only documented the children's growth through photos and videos, but also invited parents to write down their own 'parenting treasures' and post them on the class 'Treasure Wall.' Each sticky note represents a transfer of wisdom and the most genuine connection between home and kindergarten. As parents paused before the wall, reading one another's parenting insights, the paths they once walked alone suddenly found fellow travelers.
From being shy and hiding behind mom on the first day of kindergarten to now confidently raising their hand to speak; from little ones who needed to be fed to becoming 'little teachers' who go home and teach their parents English songs. Every change in the children is the finest 'treasure'—exchanged, passed on, and nurtured between home and kindergarten. And these exchanges of surprises are precisely what makes education so heartwarming.
