Home-school cooperation is an important cornerstone for children's growth. Every parent open day is an opportunity for a dialogue of educational philosophies and a shared testimony of growth. On December 2nd, we sincerely invited parents to step into the classrooms and experience firsthand the child-centered educational practices under the EYFS (English Early Years Foundation Stage) framework. Here, learning extends beyond the classroom, and growth happens in every moment of well-prepared interaction. Let's take a look back at those moments filled with discovery and connection.
Under the guidance of the foreign teacher, who is full of infectious enthusiasm and expressive body language, the children are fully immersed in songs, stories, and games. This is not just an English class; it is a vivid practice of the 'Communication and Language' area in the EYFS framework. We believe that language is naturally internalized through enjoyable and meaningful repetition. The children's raised hands and their loud responses are the best evidence of their growing confidence and willingness to express themselves.
Focusing on an inspiring theme, the children engage in observation, thinking, and collaboration under the guidance of their Chinese teachers. This fully reflects the core competencies of 'active learning' and 'creativity and critical thinking' in the EYFS framework. We provide a well-prepared environment and materials to support each child in exploring deeply at their own pace and in their own way, becoming true 'thinkers' and 'explorers.'
The open and coherent Free Flow activity time is the essence of the EYFS system. Children freely choose to explore in the construction area, art corner, tuff tray, or role-playing area. In what appears to be free play, they are actually developing key skills in 'Personal, Social and Emotional Development,' 'Physical Development,' and 'Understanding the World.' They are both focused artists and curious scientists, building their own knowledge systems through direct perception and manipulation.
The PBL project exhibition by the K3 children is a comprehensive display of the development outcomes across the seven areas of EYFS. From posing questions, conducting research to creating and presenting their work, the children take the lead throughout the entire process. This experience deeply cultivates the abilities to 'solve problems,' 'collaborate in teams,' and 'express effectively.' Their confident presentations showcase the initiative and sense of achievement valued by Crown Dream Education. They have already become skilled 'orators' and 'project managers.'
During this open day, we hope to convey to you that education is not about rote instruction, but about ignition; and that growth is not about passively waiting, but about actively constructing. Guided by the EYFS framework, we support each child in becoming a confident, resilient, and self-motivated learner through a well-prepared environment, meaningful interactions, and deep respect for individual development.
