We’ve turned into characters from books! — This is the wonderful Picture Book Dress-Up Day for PN&K1! A tiny 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' stepped onto the runway, followed by the justice-filled 'Officer Rabbit', the cute and handsome 'Doctor Anton', and the cheerful 'Little Snake'... Our PN&K1 kids have completed a magical transformation — Picture Book Dress-Up Day!
Early on the event day, the kindergarten gate was full of joy. Caterpillar jumpsuits, Judy’s headgear, Camille’s hat... The kids walked into school in their favorite character costumes, and even the morning check-up felt like a stage play.
The most exciting moment arrived! As the red carpet was laid and music played, our little PN&K1 stars stepped onto the stage confidently one by one. Some posed with hands on hips, others hopped and skipped acting like their characters. Teachers held up their phones and took photos nonstop — every picture showed sparkling eyes and joyful smiles.
One week before the event, Mom, Dad and the kids started the 'picture book warm-up'. Classic picture books were opened, and 30-second shared reading videos flooded into the class group — some kids roared like dinosaurs, some asked questions in cute voices while pointing at the pictures, and some curled up in their parents’ arms with smiling eyes. Every frame shows the tenderest side of reading. Thank you to all families for your careful participation!
Although Picture Book Dress-Up Day lasted only one day, those nights of parent-child reading, weekends making props together, every brave step on the red carpet, and soft voices sharing stories in class — all tell the kids: books can be worn, and stories can be lived.
Thank you to every caring parent and every shining little star. The world of picture books is huge, and we’ve just turned the first page. The next story journey is already on its way ~
