冠萃教育一直致力于为中国的孩子们创设多元化、国际视野的学习环境，以培养具有中国情怀的国际小公民。自集团成立以来，我们先后与中国香港、上海、福建、浙江等城市的EYFS幼儿园以及英国伦敦Happy Tree连锁园建立了紧密的合作关系，在双边师训、课题教研、EYFS实践落地等方面，搭建了良好的互助共赢模式。2021年8月，新学期伊始，冠萃教育又迎来了另一家“跨国姐妹园”——美国迈阿密***的K-12国际学校Centner Academy。

Centner Academy is located in the cosmopolitan city, Miami, known for its beautiful beaches. Miami is nicknamed the "Capital of Latin America" and is one of the largest majority-minority cities in the United States.

Centner Academy坐落于气候宜人、以其风景秀丽的海滩而闻名的国际大都市——迈阿密，这里集结了来自世界各地的人们，是文化的大熔炉，也被称为“美洲的首都”。

Crown Dream and Centner Academy are linked by their complementary bilingual programs. At Crown Dream, Chinese is the children's native language and English is a second language that used in children's day-to-day life. Children stay in an English environment for a period of time in a manner similar to native language acquisition, allowing them to gradually acquire the ability to use a second language through quality interaction between teachers and children. In Miami, English is the native language of the local children and Chinese becomes their second language. The children are guided by their Chinese teachers to learn about Chinese culture, experience Chinese festivals, learn to read and write Chinese characters, and open new windows to the world.

After becoming sister schools, what kind of benefits will bring to the children?

Our sister school relationships are forming through curriculum and teaching linkages with domestic or overseas institutions. We aimed to develop positive relationships, and to open up different ways with various cultural backgrounds for young children and their families, so that we can raising our young international citizens with a global perspective.

The main reason we form the sister school partnership with Centner Academy in Miami, USA, is that we both respect and understand each other’s culture background. Children will have the opportunity to learn about the cultural backgrounds of China and the United States. Children can learn about each other's languages, and get to know the lifestyles of people live on the other side of the world. Through a series of interactive activities, our children will enhance their sense of cultural identity and national self-confidence when they introduce the Chinese culture to their American friends.

The forming of our sister school relationship is based on our same education philosophy, which is leading children a unique happy childhood.

Centner Academy aims to become the America’s happiest School, it aims to develop children’s happiness. It has made Social Emotional Learning (SEL) for children a featured course. The instructor is Professor Tal Ben-Shahar from Harvard University, who teaches Positive Psychology--one of the most popular courses at Harvard University

And Crown Dream believes that “every child is unique”. Teachers in Crown Dream International Kindergarten pay attention to the uniqueness of each child and the developmental needs of the seven areas. We made personalized teaching design, adhering to the educational concept of "Learning Through Play".

Both the two kindergarten use Total Immersion Experience (TIE) as the teaching philosophy of second language learning, which provide children a relaxing, natural environment to learn how to speak. This year, we will combine the bilingual communication activity with “Drama week”, leading children both in China and in America to have interesting bilingual drama activities. Through the interesting situation to let children improve their ability to use second language, as well as develop the friendship between children in two countries.

Crown Dream International Kindergarten will continue to offer opportunities to form sister school with qualified schools that are interested in learning Chinese culture. Later, there will also be programs such as exchanging students and study tour. Let’s look forward to that!
