Summer is all about watermelon and ice-cream. Summer is the time for food, music and sports, too. In Crown Dream Xiyuan Campus, Summer is the time to learn through play.

夏天是西瓜的香气，夏天是冰淇淋的味道，夏天应该畅游在大海、美食、音乐以及运动之中。猜猜熙园冠萃孩子们***想要怎么玩呢？熙园冠萃幼儿园为孩子们准备了一场“EYFS玩中学”的夏日盛宴。

After Monday’s water fight we have had a whole week of fun and exciting activities to indulge in, from music and sports to art and cooking, everything has been happening at Crown Dream! Here’s a run-down of what we’ve been up-to:

本周一的“清凉一夏”打水仗奏响了熙园冠萃的夏日狂欢曲，也启动了“EYFS玩中学”探索周的活动。活动时间将维持两周，***周包括清凉日、艺术日、野餐日、音乐日和运动日。

On Tuesday everyone came with their craziest hair styles and coolest wigs, ready to do some art! After getting our adorable yellow safety clothes on, we went upstairs with our water shooter, only this time, we weren’t shooting water… all the paint was watered down and ready in buckets for us to fill up our shooters, and squirt it all over the canvas, making a colourful masterpiece that everyone played their part in creating!

孩子们迎来了他们***期待的“疯狂发型&艺术日” ，这是一个充满创意的日子！是一个充满快乐的日子！是一个充满惊喜的日子！在这个只求有趣好玩的日子里，孩子们借助色彩、道具等设计，大胆地发挥想象力，尽情展示自己的创意，创造了许多可爱的、酷炫的、搞怪的造型，这些天马行空的造型都那么别具一格、创意十足，给我们带来***的视觉冲击。美术课上我们在户外进行水枪喷绘，夏日的涂鸦与脏玩别有乐趣。

Ready, steady… COOK! Wednesday was our cooking day, so we donned our best chef gear and made an American classic: the PB&J Sandwich! Two pieces of savory bread, smothered with peanut butter and American jelly. Our sandwiches had a little twist from the original, as we added some banana too! Look how much fun we had putting those sandwiches together… and eating them!

为了让孩子用餐更加有仪式感，形式更加丰富多彩，我们每一位老师都尽其所能使出浑身解数，只为将孩子们快乐幸福的瞬间留存在学校。活动前，老师们提前准备好水果和面包，然后孩子们可以随意搭配做出自己喜欢的三明治。就在幼儿热情高涨时，老师开心地说着：“用餐开始啦！”，吃到自己亲手做的三明治，宝贝们个个都露出了花儿般的笑容。“哇，好漂亮！”“今天真开心。”孩子们激动地讨论着。在用餐过程中，宝贝们的用餐礼仪让老师们觉得骄傲，孩子们不争不抢，吃着自己做的食物，慢慢品尝，细嚼慢咽。

We turned Crown Dream into the School of Rock on Thursday with everyone bringing their own music instruments to class and showing them off! During circle time we did a little show-and-tell where everyone introduced their instrument, and we listened to some music and tried to guess which instrument was making which sound. We had lots of fun playing our own instruments and sharing them around the class for everyone to try each other’s instrument too.

演奏音乐本身是一种能够使人们身心得到放松，心情愉悦，或者是寄托感情的方式。在熙园，老师们大胆地把音乐和学习结合起来，以游戏的方式来“玩”音乐，不仅能够激发孩子的兴趣，还能激发孩子的音乐天赋。其实，“玩”和“学”在音乐中绝不冲突，这种音乐教学体系下，老师是站在一个引导者和参与者的角度，通过音乐游戏的方式，让孩子了解音乐知识，提升音乐学习能力，激发孩子对音乐的兴趣和天赋。在教室里，老师用动听的歌声开启音乐之旅，让每一位孩子在音乐中找到快乐，丰富自己的生活，提升自身的艺术修养。感受音乐的快乐才是***主要的事情。

Friday – And on our last day of the week, today, we had a super fun sports day! During outdoor activity Teacher Joseph set up lots of fun mini-games for everyone to try: there were bike relay races, basketball shooting, football/soccer goals, car racing and the sponge race! Once we all tried every game, we made sure to drink lots of water to stay hydrated.

童年的脚步，快如疾风，绽放的笑容，灿若星辰。迎着夏日的微风，我们迎来了期待已久的全园运动日。这是一出锻炼体魄的盛会，这是一场童心绽放的盛会，这是一场充满欢乐的盛会。根据英国早期基础阶段课程(EYFS)的“EYFS玩中学”的理念，体育运动是每个学生学习和发展的重要组成部分，通过培养积极的教育理念可以更好地培养幼儿喜爱锻炼、运动的良好生活习惯。我们相信生命在于运动，健康成就未来。

And that’s the first week of summer camp over! What a great week willed with fun, laughter and love. We’ve got one more week jam packed full of exciting activities left before a well-deserved break for everyone!
